Amrop Appoints New Members to Global Executive Board
The Amrop Partnership announces the appointment of two new Board Members to its Executive Board:
- Patrick Ference, Managing Partner, Amrop Industrial Search, USA
- Andrew Woodburn, Managing Director, Amrop Woodburn Mann, South Africa
Patrick Ference is a Founder and Managing Partner of Amrop Industrial Search in the United States. As a leader in the North American Industrial, Infrastructure and Energy practice areas for the Amrop Partnership, Patrick applies his combination of direct industrial experience and executive search skills to serve clients and support his Amrop partners in the automotive, metals and mining, diversified manufacturing, electrical and electronic products, aerospace/defense, and tech/digital sectors.
Patrick is a trusted advisor to senior executives, providing executive recruitment and organizational consulting services to small/mid-cap industrial clients, ranging from publicly traded to private equity and family owned. Before co-founding Amrop Industrial Search, Patrick’s career included nearly 25 years in corporate roles, with cross-functional experience in Human Resources, Operations, IT Business Systems, and Industrial Health and Safety.
As a CHRO/chief talent officer, Patrick helped to transform major corporations and leadership teams working with clients such as Cooper Industries, Brady Corporation and Alpha Natural Resources. His deep understanding of stakeholder needs in executive recruitment comes from a unique perspective gained in key roles spearheading operating company turnarounds and company-wide initiatives such as corporate strategy development, goal/policy deployment, reengineering of go-to-market strategies, international growth/expansion, acquisitions, and executive development and succession
Patrick received a Bachelor's Degree in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He also completed the Corporate Executive Program at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management – Rice University

Andrew Woodburn is Managing Director of Amrop Woodburn Mann in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Andrew’s 25-year career began in Executive Search in 1995 in a London-based firm, and spans international search projects across all functions and industries. He continues to work with clients in the retail, mining, heavy industry, communications, technology, FMCG and financial services sectors.
Prior to being appointed to his search role in 2010, Andrew’s business career involved delivering marketing/strategy consulting, online design, strategy integration, performance management, software development, data analysis and reporting services. His involvement in leading brands and new product development in FMCG companies, such as Coca-Cola and SAB Miller, provided a unique platform to leverage his strategic insight and creative flair into the commercial arena, both within a corporate environment and on an entrepreneurial level. This led to him working in a start-up team for the creation of a new banking organization in South Africa, with a focus on micro-finance.
He is highly involved in both Board Services and Leadership Development, with a personal interest in assisting corporations and individuals to reach their full potential, and lead the way for an improved future for the African continent.
Andrew received a Master of Science Degree in Development Economics and a Social Studies Graduate Diploma from Oxford University, in addition to receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand.
